Im new of being a touhou fan but i didn't know that touhou has an anime...
Anyways this is good!

It's not official, Touhou is basically only the bullet hell games, the fighting games and the picture taking bullet hell games. But the community is what makes is worthwhile, from doujinshi, songs, fan made games like luna nights, the dedication to the series is amazing and is keeping it alive.

Memories of phantasm is just another part created by the community based on the original games. It isn't the only fan made animation either, with "a summer days dream" also existing. memories of phantasm isn't directly following the games either, with some parts being altered to make more sense.

My favorite character so far is the Doll girl (Alice) coz she controls dolls and controlling dolls is very hard so i like her

woah that samurai girl with huge sperm pet is cool

this is the reason why dedicated fan made anime is wonderful than other anime
despite of its long years the animation still good

I'm so glad they have this it was so hard to find for a very long time but now I can watch it when ever I want . originally you could only find 9 episodes but it looks like they have the whole series including the episodes I never was never able to watch

I don't remember her with brown hair. What I remember is her hair being purple in the first 5 games and black in all the others

Now that I truly know what Touhou is and played the games (up to 12) I can completely enjoy this anime.

You should try out Touhou 13 to 18. They started using new mechanics in most games that made them pretty fun (They also started to have some weird difficulty spikes, though)

Pretty visuals and music but boring non-story.

Don't know if you know what Touhou project is. But "Touhou: memories of phantasm" pretty much a fanime of all Touhou games (so far up to Touhou 10). They already expect you to know what the story is and who characters are, not explain it to you.

It's different from traditional anime in that sense, see it more as a game adaptation for fans rather than regular anime that can be consumed by anyone.
